I cannot remember a day where I lived a life where I wasn’t physically active. For as far back as I can remember, I played soccer in first grade and from second grade on, I danced. Now at 25, I still remain active more than ever. If I’m not at the gym, I’m still dancing or I’m finding new workouts to try at home. A lot of people will ask me where I find the motivation to always be working out, and honestly, I believe it comes from my discipline of dance. From when I first started dedicating myself to working out, I’ve come a long way especially in my knowledge of it.
So how do I pass on my knowledge of working out? How can I inspire others? That’s where my creation of Power Girl Fitness comes into play. One day I decided that through Instagram, I’d create an account and post workouts I’ve tried and that I’ve liked. I had gotten my idea from how many times I have searched Pinterest for workout ideas. My workouts had gotten to the point where they were too easy, and I wasn’t sore anymore. Therefore, I thought it’d be a great idea to post workouts that were physically and time efficient.
Not only has Power Girl Fitness (hopefully) benefitted others, but it has benefitted me as well. By running this account, it has pushed me to try a new workout almost everyday! Let’s think of it this way, if I’m trying new workouts almost everyday, I am filtering out what does and doesn’t work for me; I am becoming physically and mentally stronger.
My hope for Power Girl Fitness is to inspire others to become a better version of themselves. I want you all to know, those who want to make a change for themselves, there is never the excuse of you don’t have time. To be a better you, all it takes is as much as 5-10 minutes to squeeze in a workout. I can promise that the minute you start dedicating time to your body and it’s needs, you will notice and feel a difference! So what are you waiting for?
