Welcome to a new segment of my blog: Becca K: The Choreography Series. Dance has always been a huge part of my life, ever since I was 6 years old. The training I have received is nothing short of extensive, and continues to build everyday. Sadly, I don’t get the chance to perform anymore, but instead my passion for dance has transitioned into teaching.
Teaching is an amazing time for me personally. I love having the ability to push students to their potential, and have them surprise themselves by doing things they didn’t know they could do. I constantly encourage the students that they can’t find their “groove” in dance if they don’t push themselves to find it–even if it means looking goofy once in awhile. With this series, I plan on posting different choreography I’ve done, and talking about different topics that could help students and other teachers as well! Please enjoy the video posted above, and feel free to sound off in the comments below with thoughts or questions you may have as a student and or teacher!
